Happy Valley Primary School understands and values the relationships between the experiences of early childhood and success in school.
The School Readiness Center, located on campus and generously supported through First 5 Shasta School Readiness Initiative, offers a variety of services and activities to families with very young children in the Happy Valley Primary attendance area.
Project Coordinator, Sandi Garcia, is available Monday through Friday from 12:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. to help families with children in the prenatal stage through age 5 connect to on-campus and community resources. The First 5 Shasta School Readiness Center hosts free, fun, child focused activities such as music and movement classes, storytelling, summer Kindergarten Transition Camps and more. Parents can take advantage of free seminars on a parent variety of practical skills and topics including technology, nutrition, and Love & Logic parent support.
Located in the School Readiness Center is also a Lending Library where families can borrow educational toys, books, and other music that build skills in young children and prepare for Kindergarten.
