Back to School Night
Back to School night will be held on Tuesday, August 24 at 6:00 pm. Please meet in the gym for a brief over view of the evening's events. Parents will be following their child's school schedule.
Project Share
Enrollment is still open for Project Share.
Project Share is open until 6:00 pm and open to ALL families/students. They have many fun activities and also help students with homework and provide tutoring support. Enrollment in Project Share is a requirement for all students participating in sports and after school clubs.

Cross Country
Looking for a great way to get involved in athletics in a fun and challenging way? Interested in conditioning for the upcoming basketball season? Cross country is a great way to get involved in athletics and get in shape. Practice begins Monday 8/30 from 3:30-4:30. Please make sure to wear shorts and running shoes. BRING WATER! There is a mandatory parent meeting in Mrs. Goldenson’s room on Tuesday 8/31 at 5:30 (before Back-to-School-Night).
Ducky Derby
Our fifth grade students have the opportunity to sell Ducky Derby tickets to help offset the cost of Whiskeytown Environmental School camp. The Ducky Derby is sponsored by The Rotary Clubs of Northern California Foundation Against Substance Abuse and the funds are used to support youth-related programs.
Ducks are “adopted” by donations of $5 each. This year the Ducky Derby will be held on Sunday, September 26, 2010, at Redding Caldwell Park. Contact Mr. Zeller at the Primary School if you are interested in purchasing tickets.
Notes From the Classroom….
Mrs. Goodson’s Class
Mrs. Goodson's Language Arts classes are starting off really well. Students are working very hard to learn the rules and juggle multiple classes. This week, students had to recite an inspirational poem in front of the class. I had many volunteers as they showed how hard they worked.
Students in my classes have been given a reading goal and should be reading 30 minutes every day. Thanks again for the great start to the new year.
