What is GEAR UP?

GEAR UP is a 6 year partnership grant written to help students create options for their future. We help create a pathway to future college/career success. Happy Valley's GEAR UP partners include Anderson Middle School, Anderson High School, West Cottonwood Junior High, West Valley High School, Pacheco Elementary, Maywood Middle School, and Corning High School, Anderson Partnership for Healthy Children, and Shasta College (Lead Partner and Responsible for Funding GEAR UP)

Objectives and Opportunities

GEAR UP Serves all 7th and 8th Grade students this year
GEAR UP services at Happy Valley Elementary can include Tutoring, Mentoring, college and cultural field trips, staff development, GUTS Summer program, Parent opportunities, college scholarship information and scholarships, assemblies, and guest speakers.
Activities can also include SAT/ACT, PSAT and student success workshops, college and cultural field trips, help completing financial aid forms, and providing college resources for parents and students
